THE 2 NEW ALBUMS ARE ON THE LAUNCH PAD

(no, this is not the upcoming CD art... but it DID take 2 years to make)

Dust off and get your hi-fi’s ready for some new stereophonic recordings! On September 10th 2002, Michael Andrew Records simultaneously released two new, long awaited, albums. ‘Destination Moon’ and ‘Michael Andrew Pays Tribute to Frank Sinatra’ featuring interpretations of well-known classics with his Swingerhead Big Band.

Michael enlisted help from his top-notch musicians from both Swingerhead and The Coconut Club Orchestra plus some very special guests for these sensational CDs. 'Michael and Friends' completed their amazing recording sessions inside the famed 'Studio A' at Capitol Records Studios in Hollywood (where Frank Sinatra recorded the great songs) and in Mike's bi-coastal studios.

MA is also building his film and television music libraries for interested music supervisors.

SINGIN' AND SWINGIN' SYMPHONIES

Michael Andrew has more of his exciting singin' and swingin’ symphony concerts in the works for all across the USA. Check out GIGS for the dates with national symphony orchestras.

The SRO "Swingin"' Holiday concerts with The Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra at Orlando's Bob Carr Performing Arts Centre were huge successes. This special event was captured on film for television! Check the calendar for monthly broadcasts. The Swingerhead/OPO Concert from 2000 is still in heavy rotation on television, too. .The shows features original compositions by Michael Andrew plus tributes to the great Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis, Jr., and Bobby Darin. This concert telecast won the coveted national Telly Award for Outstanding Entertainment Program! Look at the Telly Award.

Concerts with the Long Beach Symphony, Wichita Symphony, New Mexico Symphony, Tulsa Symphony, The Jacksonville Symphony, San Antonio Philharmonic Orchestra, Houston Symphony, Akron Symphony and Florida Symphony Orchestras brought audiences to their feet. Michael Andrew and Swingerhead were nominated for the 7th year in a row in the 2002 Orlando Music Awards.

Last year, Michael Andrew and Swingerhead were presented the Orlando Music Awards (OMA) "Jazz" trophy by legendary Billy Joel drummer, Liberty DeVitto. That makes 5 Orlando Music Awards! MICHAEL ANDREW co-STAR IN "AS THOUSANDS CHEER"

As some of you longtime friends and fans know, Michael Andrew is also an accomplished character actor (with a degree in Theatre). And was thrilled to return to the Orlando theatre stage this past Spring in the Mad Cow Theatre production of "As Thousands Cheer". This is a famous classic 1933 music revue show written by Irving Berlin and Moss Hart. Thank you all who came out and made this one of the most successful shows in Mad Cow's history.

Michael Andrew proudly performed weekly, for 18 months, at ‘The Coconut Club’ inside Merv Griffin’s Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, California. Every week they performed a mix of society music, Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin classics, high energy swing and Latin flavored dance music to star-studded audiences. Michael Andrew and Swingerhead completed a monthlong tour across the US in the Community Concerts tour ending up at a packed night at The Derby in Hollywood.
